What do we do?
The Animal Facility of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Medical University of Lodz conducts preclinical in vivo and in vitro studies supporting the development of medical devices, pharmaceutical products, and scientific projects.
We collaborate with research teams and industry partners, offering contract research services and methodological support at the experimental design stage.
We have infrastructure enabling studies under controlled conditions, including the use of immunocompromised animal models and surgical facilities.

Infrastructure
We have facilities that enable research under controlled conditions, including barrier systems and contained use of GMOs.
The infrastructure includes:
- barrier system
- genetic engineering unit (GMO – Category I)
- operating room
- facilities for work with immunocompromised models
The unit has the required permits:
- entry in the Veterinary Inspectorate register
- register of laboratory animal breeders
- register of authorized users for animal experiments
